A pavilion that seems to float on the water at Yanagishima, the island at the north end of the pond — the classic photo spot of Ohori Park.

Ukimido stands on Yanagishima (Willow Island), the northernmost of the pond's islands, and seems to float on the water — its name means "floating viewing hall". It was moved here in 1949 from Higashi Park on the other side of the city.

From the pavilion you look south across open water towards the other islands and bridges, and in the evening the lights on the islands are reflected in the pond. It is a natural place to pause on a walk around the lake, and one of the most photographed views in Fukuoka.
