A glass-walled Starbucks right on the water, with a terrace overlooking the pond — one of Japan's best-known park Starbucks.
Starbucks Ohori Park sits at the water's edge, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a terrace looking out over the pond. When it opened it was only the second Starbucks in Japan built inside a public park, and it was designed with the environment in mind: plenty of natural daylight to cut electricity use, and some tables made from boards that mix used coffee grounds with wood from forest thinning.
It gets busy, especially at weekends, but a coffee to go and a bench on the lakeside path work just as well.
