A statue of Yakushi Nyorai carved into the roots of a giant tree. As a Buddha associated with healing illness, it draws strong devotion from visitors seeking good health.

Yakushi Nyorai is a Buddha revered for healing all ailments and protecting the health of body and mind. Here, a large tree's roots are preserved in their natural state, with the image of Yakushi Nyorai carved directly into them. Seasonal fruits such as citrus and apples are offered around the statue, and numerous wooden plaques expressing wishes for longevity and good health have been dedicated. The site reflects the deep faith the local community holds for this sacred place.
